Your recommendation comes from an algorithm, not a sales team. That algorithm is open source under the AGPL-3.0 license — you can read it, audit it, check that no brand pays for placement, or run your own copy. Nothing about which club we suggest is hidden.
Every spec we fit against lives in a free, neutral equipment database — each number with its source. It's licensed CC BY-SA 4.0, so anyone can use or build on it, even commercially, as long as they credit it and keep their version open too.

Every fitting makes the next one smarter. When you run a fitting, the launch-monitor numbers — club and ball speed, spin, launch, carry, and the like — are pooled to improve our models for everyone. Your name, email, and account never are: they're stripped out before anything is stored. And the exact code that does the stripping is open, so you don't have to take our word for it.
The pooled, anonymized numbers themselves stay with us — that's the trade that keeps the tool free: you get a fitting at no cost, and your anonymized numbers help the next golfer get a better one.
